Who we are

Corporate History

Si Ko is a family company and is named after my father SImeon KOnstantinov. My parents and I founded the company in 1996.

In the beginning, we faced many challenges: too few orders, difficulty reaching the right customers, unsuitable business partners, and prices pushed up by long chains of middlemen. That is why we built our own silos and production line.

It took us years to reach the quality our customers need. We learned every parameter the hard way, by trial and error.
Even finding the right manufacturer of the process equipment needed to produce our hulled sunflower kernels (ready to eat, organic and conventional) was a challenge. It took time to find the right balance of quality, price and customer satisfaction. Suddenly we went from one truck a week to 2 trucks a day. The jump was phenomenal and the team was not prepared for this turnaround. We started a staff training program and built a team of professionals. We tried different models and coaching methods until we finally found a system that worked for us.

Today we build long-term partnerships with food producers who value consistent quality and reliable supply. Being a perfectionist, I always find out what else can be improved, but it is this striving that drives us forward.

However large the order, every client gets a personal approach. Today we are focused on expanding our product range and services.

We produce ready-to-eat sunflower kernels. We help granola, muesli and snack producers earn more with an alternative to organic sunflower that saves at least 15%.
